This year we’re continuing the cross-border competition with the BMW Club Racing Canadian American Challenge. The Can-Am Challenge is a homage to the historic Can-Am series that spanned the Canadian and United States border from 1966-1974. Our Can-Am Challenge is being run at three historic tracks, the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, August 4-6, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, August 18-20, and Watkins Glen International, September 22-24. A team-based points scheme will determine the winner, and the glorious Can-Am trophy will be presented for the country that wins the challenge! This trophy will again be “up for grabs” in the 2024 season and beyond.
The Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course opened in 1963 as a 15-turn, 2.400 mi (3.862 km) road circuit run clockwise. It has hosted a number of racing series such as IndyCar, IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, and the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Join the Buckeye Chapter at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for our only BMW CCA Club Race of 2023!
This will be a 3-day event and is listed as a BMW CCA Club Racing North American Challenge (NAC) event. Three races will be 150% and one will be 100%. We will run an enduro Friday afternoon, two sprints Saturday, and a sprint Sunday morning. The final schedule will be shared in advance of the event.

BMW Club Racing is inviting DE participants to join us for a Paddock Party on Friday after the track closes. Along with beer, wine and snacks, we'll have our race cars on display. This is a great opportunity to spread our racing passion and knowledge about setting up track vehicles and the BMW Club Racing program.
If you've never joined us before, Saturday's evening is a celebration of great beverages, great friends and track stories, served at the host hotel at 7:00 pm or so. The Saturday night post-track dinner will be from a local, well regarded restaurant with necessary beverages and dessert. Afterward, we will have a get together with soft drinks, wine, beer and snacks. Please let us know if you will be joining us for the get together, we'd hate to run out of beer!
After a long day at the track rest assured the get together will be a great place to sit back and relax with your friends, family and BMW enthusiasts alike.
